Service is greener at Millwoods Honda
The Create a Forest Campaign at Millwoods Honda now enables service customers to plant trees each time they visit the dealership to maintain their vehicle.
Customers simply add the affordable cost of having us plant and care for one or more trees to the price of their service visit. Each tree balances the emissions from driving about 2000 km. Through their partnership with us Millwoods Honda then purchases Carbon Plus Credits to ensure that each participating customer helps create a forest.
Of course customers who buy a new or used vehicle from Millwoods Honda can also choose to have trees planted and cared for on their behalf, but effective May 1, 2011 the cost will be added to their purchase price.
All of the trees will be planted and cared for in one of the new Boreal forests we have created in Alberta. Customers who choose to create a forest will be ensuring many benefits for our planet and its people and adding to the amazing success of this initiative. Thanks to our partnership, as of April 30, 2011 Millwoods Honda customers have supported:
- the planting and care of 1,478 trees;
- the creation of 9,328 square meters of forest;
- the offseting of 507,354 kilograms of CO2eq emissions;
- reducing emissions equivalent to the burning of 214,976 litres of gasoline; and
- the contribution of $507.35 to community causes via our Community Fund.
So if you are a Honda owner in the Edmonton area you can now maintain the environment when you maintain your vehicle at Millwoods Honda!
