2010 Fringe Theatre Festival Seedlings

Each seedling has amazing potential to benefit the environment:

• Trees absorb CO2 from the atmosphere as they grow. The 15,000 seedlings distributed at the 29th Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival can sequester over 5000 tonnes of greenhouse gases, which is equivalent to taking more than 1000 vehicles off the road.
• Trees provide habitat for wildlife, improve water quality from runoff, & beautify our yards & streets
• Trees provide shade & windbreaks that can lower heating & cooling costs by 10-15%, while reducing emissions from energy use

Ensure your seedling achieves that potential:

• Keep it cool & ensure it stays moist
• Plant it as soon as you can (within 3-4 days) to the same depth as the soil plug
