Money ready to cover the cost if something happens to the trees.
- Every time a Carbon Plus Credit is sold we take a portion of the selling price and create a replanting fund.
- So in the unfortunate event that the trees are destroyed or significantly damaged by fire, disease, insect infestation, flood, drought, ice, wind, or damage by animals, we will be able to replant new ones in their place.
- It basically acts as a type of insurance for our customers.
- Our replanting obligation is included in writing within the agreement you accept at the time of purchase.
Of course we make every effort, right from the selection of seedlings from local native stock, to ensure that the forests are strong and healthy. Remember that we want to maintain the family farm for generations to come and the forests are a key part of that.
